Escape from Duckov Facility Features Introduction & Quick Start Guide

For a better gaming experience, prioritize building structures inside your base first.

Prioritize using skills to enhance your backpack, expand storage, strengthen your body, and level up to increase carrying capacity.

Replenish Water and Energy with food; free food is available in the Kitchen. Low Water slows Stamina recovery, and low Energy causes gradual health loss.

Mark required loot with ‘N’ to avoid missing items (Highly recommended to use a mod to see total item counts).

Chinese Knots can be dismantled into Red Envelopes, which yield random items when opened. You can save/reload (SL) by exiting/entering the base to get better items. Copper Coin Strings can be dismantled into Bitcoins to sell for money.

The number of Master Keys you have can be checked in the Map Quest interface.

Outside the Base

There is a Dismantling Bench near the starting point of BOSS fights; use it to dismantle items from your backpack to reduce weight.

The slot marked with a paw icon next to your backpack is the Dog Backpack. Items stored here do not drop on death and have no weight limit.

Commonly missing materials can often be purchased from Traders in various districts.

Items to collect in large quantities: Metal Scraps, Cold Core Fragments, Red Core Fragments, Ethereal Feathers, Universal Glue A & B.

Keys and Access Cards are mostly obtained randomly. Primary sources: clothes in rooms, but they can also be found in various other odd places.

Be cautious of robots (source of Computing Cores) and mushrooms (which also appear on rainy days, source of Mushrooms) when going out at night.

When searching, the spinning circle duration before opening a container indicates the value of its contents (recommended to use an item value mod).

Headphones enhance sound localization (audible sounds will show as white ripples on screen).

All Toolboxes, Food Crates, etc., can yield items from low to high grade, though some areas seem to have a higher chance for better loot.

Cracked walls can be destroyed with a Sledgehammer, Bombs, or by exploding Gunpowder Barrels placed nearby.

Place overly heavy items near the Extraction Point. If you have enough inventory slots, you can quickly pick them up at the extraction point (you can still extract even if over the weight limit).

Stop Bleeding primarily with Bandages and Hemostatic Syringes. First Aid Kits seem to stop bleeding only probabilistically.

Status Effects
Happy: Increases walking and running speed. Caused by: Candy, Alcohol.

Base Facilities
Most facilities become available for construction through main quests. The Gym and Kitchen require completing Mud’s quest in District 0 (in the house to the right after exiting the base, near the riverbank).

Black Market Contact Point, ATM, Bitcoin Miner do not have prompts; please check the construction menu periodically. It’s uncertain at which main quest point they appear (they can likely be built before Farm Town at the latest).

Skill Enhancement Station – Enhance Skills & Change Talents
Located in the small room next to the Storage. Upgrade skills and change talents here (requires completing a quest).

Talent quests are primarily obtained from the Weapon Shop, Armor Shop, and Gym. Series of quests typically appear after the Storage District.

Weapon Range – Weapon Testing

Ammo is not consumed within the base.

Sewer – Feather Offering, Boat, Quick Travel to Southern Highway

Offer 8 Ethereal Feathers for 1 Totem. Totems can be used, sold, or dismantled back into 1 feather.

Boat Tickets can be bought from Vending Machines or found while looting.

The quick travel route must first be unlocked from the sewer on the Highway (at the very end of the road in the bottom right corner).

Vending Machine – Buy/Sell Items

Stock refreshes every 5 minutes real-time.

Wasp Pickup Point – Receive Quest Items

Can choose not to receive items, using it as extra storage.

Storage – Expandable
Total materials required for full expansion:
Dog Tags 100, Plastic Barrel 1, Metal Barrel 1, Small Expansion Box 11, Medium Expansion Box 8, Large Expansion Box 5, Paper Box 2, Syringe Case 2, Keychain 1.

If storage space is low: Fish can be placed in Plastic Barrels; Weapon Attachments can be placed into guns.

Workbench
Craft, Dismantle items, Repair equipment, Analyze Weapon/Armor Blueprints, Upgrade Workbench.

Weapon Durability & Wear: Repairing can only fix the non-red (wear) portion.

Try to avoid using Rusty Ammo, as it’s bad for weapons.

Armor Shop – Buy Armor, Quests

If unlucky and haven’t found a larger backpack early on, check the bags available in the shop.

Weapon Shop – Buy Weapons, Quests
Crafting Materials: Bolts 2, Nails 2, Light Bulb 1, MD40 1.

Mid-game onwards, if short on space or carrying capacity, you can buy ammo directly here or buy lower-tier ammo to upgrade.

Canned Gunpowder for crafting AP Ammo and above comes in different colors/tiers.

Medical Station – Craft Meds, Analyze Medical Blueprints
Crafting Materials: Assorted Pills 2, Syringe 1, Infusion Bag 1.

Types of craftable medicine are increased by obtaining blueprints and completing quests.

Gym – Buy Drugs, Quests, Physical Enhancement
Crafting Materials: Metal Scraps 4, Tire 1.

Types of Syringes available for purchase increase as you progress through Mud’s quests.

Kitchen – Free Food, Buy Bait & Blueprints, Quests

Old Buddha seems to offer the highest buy prices for items.

Teleporter – Teleport to a random location on a specified map
Crafting Materials: Power Cable 1, Electronic Component 1, Cold Core Fragment 2, Portable HDD 1.

Key Registration Machine – Register Keys/Access Cards into Keychain
Crafting Materials: Circuit Board 1, CD Drive 1, Metal Scraps 1.
This is the concept of a Master Key. Once a key is registered, you don’t need to carry it physically.

The District 0 Safe Key cannot be registered and must be carried separately.

Tech Center – Trading, Quests
Crafting Materials: Nuts 2, Nails 2, Metal Scraps 2, Power Cable 1.

ATM – Deposit Cash
Crafting Materials: Radio 1, Microphone 1, R6 Battery 2, Metal Scraps 2, ?? 1.

Cash deposited into Storage can be used at 1:1 value. Selling it to traders only gives half its value.

Black Market Traders only accept Cash.

Black Market Contact Point – Trade Random Goods
Crafting Materials: Black Market Contact Note 1, Encrypted USB 1, Walkie Talkie 1, Tomsung Phone 1, Uphone Phone 1, Power Cable 1.

The Black Market randomly offers 8 items for purchase and 8 items for sale. You can refresh the list (refresh cooldown: 5 hours real-time).

If you really can’t find phones but want to build the Black Market… you can dismantle Graphics Cards (for phones).

High-price purchases are good for money-making (e.g., 10 Glick Pistols sell for 50k, 40 UMG AP Rounds sell for 100k).

Low-price sales are good for saving money.

Besides being used for unlocking later maps, Black Market Contact Notes can also be obtained by killing Black Market Traders (e.g., in District 0, the shotgun-wielding one doesn’t move much, so a decent rifle can snipe him from afar).

Bitcoin Miner – Mine Bitcoins
Crafting Materials: Intelligence File 1, Military Walkie Talkie 1, Portable HDD 3, Circuit Board 3, Power Bank 3, Computing Core 3, Wires 4, Power Cable 4.

Graphics Cards are precious. When short, you can craft Potato Graphics Cards at the Workbench.

Yellow Van Room – Ultimate Goal.

Requires the Basement Fork Key.

Fishing System – Fishing-related quests appear after building the Kitchen.
Craft a Old Fishing Rod + Earthworms or other bait to fish at fishing spots. Earthworms are dug from dirt piles with a Shovel.

Quest System – Main Quest, Various Station Quests.

Starter Guide
Suggested Route (for Survival difficulty and below):

Prison: Right at the start, there’s a Warden on the right. You can skip him (cheese) or kill him technically to get your first AK-47. If it’s too difficult, just follow the intended escape route.

District 0: Start by exploring both sides after exiting the bunker to get used to the combat system. Don’t cross the river yet. Later, head to the top-left of the map. Save the Highway Camp for last (the blue bubbles are teleport bubbles; destroy them to quickly travel to the top-left fishing spot. The mountain top also has a higher chance for decent loot).

Enemies on both initial sides have weak weapons. Check under the bridge near the middle cave entrance for a chance to find a rifle usable into mid-game (e.g., AK-103). The middle cave also has good loot (if visited during a storm, might find a Blueprint for a Flaming AK).

Once comfortable with the map, head to the Highway to clear out mercenaries. Aim to loot an MP5 (excellent for hip-fire), Level 3 Helmet and Armor. With those two guns, you can basically clear out District 0 and the Storage District.

There is a “Man of Light” in the bottom-right corner of the Highway, and occasionally in the top-left. You need two axes (for him?).

Once you can clear areas smoothly, proceed to the Storage District.

Black Market Trader Kill Cheese: Both traders have spots where they can be trapped. Alternatively, use “Poison, Incendiary, or Excrement Guns”.
