ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree: Mad Dragon Beller Battle Tips
For newcomers who are determined to defeat the boss by any means necessary.
I’m on my fourth playthrough, with 60 points in Health, 25 in FP, and 50 each in Strength and Dexterity. Wear the heaviest armor possible, and I recommend using Rockburst in your Physick Flask.
Since Beller has a phase transition at half health, it’s very advantageous if you can execute him before this transition. When he is downed, you have a long window to deal a full-charged Dragon Slash and another execution. For a fourth playthrough, I find that having Rockburst is quite useful.
A fully charged Dragon Slash to the head will allow you to execute him with about seven or eight strikes.
Also, bring the Exhilarating Perfume not for damage boost, but for surviving his ground slam followed by an earthquake attack after his phase transition, similar to First Elden Lord Godfrey.
With 60 points in Health, I still get one-shotted by this move if I don’t evade it properly. You can try to run far away, but usually there’s not enough time. This is where the Exhilarating Perfume comes in handy, or you can use the Cerulean Hidden Tear in your Physick Flask.
The rest is similar to fighting Millicent; just watch his hand movements. Like Millicent, Beller doesn’t mix up his attack speeds.
