Honkai Star Rail: Aventurine Cultivation Guide
Skill, Trajectory, and Star Soul Introduction and Skill Point Allocation
Skill Explanation
Combat Skill “Prosperity Foundation”
Applies a stackable shield benefiting from defense to all allies, lasting for 3 rounds, with a maximum stack of 200% of the shield amount per use.
Bubble: The combat skill can be said to be the core of Sand Gold, with other skills mainly revolving around the effectiveness of the combat skill.
Ultimate Skill “Roulette Viscount”
Sand Gold randomly gains 1-7 points of “Blind Bet,” causing a designated enemy unit to receive high virtual damage and enter a state of “Panic,” with a 15% increase in critical hit damage.
Bubble: The ultimate skill’s impact is not significant, and the damage enhancement effect can be considered as icing on the cake, useful but not by much.

Talent “Muzzle to the Right”
Teammates holding the combat skill shield receive a 50% effect resistance bonus, and every two rounds, Sand Gold can resist one control-type negative effect. When a teammate is attacked, they gain a stack of “Blind Bet,” while Sand Gold gains two stacks when being attacked. When “Blind Bet” reaches 7 stacks, it consumes all 7 stacks to deal a total of 7 additional attacks on random enemy targets, with a maximum of 10 stacks of “Blind Bet.”
Secret Technique “Between Red and Black”
Sand Gold rolls three suits, generating effects based on the different suits. The highest value is taken upon repeated use.
Different suits—increases defense by 24%
Same suits—increases defense by 36%
Three clubs—increases defense by 60%
Bubble: It’s fantasy time now, gamblers, let’s get hyped!
Priority for Skill Allocation: Combat Skill > Talent > Ultimate Skill > Normal Attack
Trajectory
“Bingo!”
When a shield-protected character launches an additional attack, one stack of “Blind Bet” is added, and Sand Gold can trigger this three times in a single round. When Sand Gold launches an additional attack, the character with the lowest shield can have a double stack.
Bubble: A delight for pursuit teams
“Leverage”
For the portion of Sand Gold’s panel defense exceeding 1600, every 100 points can gain 2% critical rate, up to a maximum of 48%, i.e., the panel defense must exceed 4000.
“Heat Up”
At the start of the round, the whole team receives a shield equal to the combat skill’s shield amount, lasting for three rounds. This further enhances Sand Gold’s point-producing ability.
Star Soul
1st Soul: Allies under a shield gain 20% critical hit damage, and Sand Gold releasing the ultimate skill can also stack an equivalent amount of shield as the combat skill. (This increases the shield coverage of Sand Gold and reduces the combat skill point requirement)
2nd Soul: Sand Gold’s normal attacks reduce the target’s resistance by 12%. (Boosts Sand Gold’s normal attack significance and can stack with Huangquan’s ultimate skill charging, but the cost far outweighs the benefits, no need to deliberately draw)
4th Soul: When Sand Gold triggers an additional attack, it increases defense, and Sand Gold’s additional attack increases to 10 segments.
6th Soul: For each teammate with a shield, Sand Gold gains a 50% damage boost, up to a maximum of 150%. (With 6th Soul, Sand Gold can be used as a sub-C. However, Bubble does not recommend deliberate extraction, as the cost is much higher than the benefits compared to other C positions.)
Selection of Light Cones
Sand Gold’s panel requirement is mainly defense, so almost all “living guard” light cones are applicable.
For the first tier, “Fate Has Never Been Fair” is recommended, increasing both defense and critical hit damage, with an additional 10% vulnerability on additional attacks. Both shield flow and output are compatible.
The selection for shield flow is quite broad, where “Moment of Triumph,” with high defense value white benefits and passive 48% defense, along with the rare “Taunt” effect. “First Day of the Rest of Your Life” and “Landau’s Choice” can also be used, with the former increasing protection for teammates and the latter having a “Taunt” and damage reduction effect. “Duet Concert” can also be used, offering both increased damage and defense effects.

The selection for Sand Gold’s output stream is relatively limited, with “Weaving Fate Threads,” adding effect resistance and converting defense into damage, most importantly, it can be drawn without spending too much. Next is the Big Moon Card light cone “Here I Am!”, which similarly converts defense into damage. Unfortunately, the damage increase effect of the ultimate skill is not very significant for Sand Gold, and the cost of the Big Moon Card light cone is high.
Alternatively, Sand Gold can be placed in a team with Huangquan and Zhenli, selecting “Universal Market Trend” to stack negative buffs.
Selection of Relics and Attributes
The selection of relics also varies depending on the gameplay style.
For the “Living Guard” flow, outer ring recommends “Holy Knight,” and inner ring recommends “Broken Dragon Bone.”
Clothing: Defense
Shoes: Defense/Speed
Ball: Defense
Chain: Defense
Secondary Attributes: Speed > Defense > Effect Resistance > Others (Main and secondary attributes will not overlap)
For the output stream, the outer ring recommends the “Dead Water Set,” and the inner ring recommends the “Suspended Sarsotu.”
Clothing: Critical Hit Damage
Shoes: Defense/Speed
Ball: Virtual Damage Bonus
Chain: Defense
Secondary Attributes: Double Crit > Speed > Defense > Effect Resistance > Others
Team Composition
Team Building Philosophy
Sand Gold’s team composition and mechanics are versatile, with no fixed requirements or incompatible teams. Sand Gold can almost serve as a survival position in any team. Due to the talent, the teammates’ follow-up attacks can quickly stack “Blind Bet” layers, allowing Sand Gold to further increase damage output and rapidly stack shields. In a chase team, Sand Gold is almost capable of using the combat skill, focusing on point production.
Alternatively, placing Sand Gold in teams with Huangquan and Zhenli allows Sand Gold to stack required debuffs with the “Universal Market Trend” effect.
Team References
1st Team: Dr. Truth, Topa, Sand Gold, Ruan Mei
Through Topa and Truth’s dual output, high-frequency high-damage follow-up attacks can activate Sand Gold’s talent multiple times. Ruan Mei’s aura damage boost covers all allied characters. The presence of Sand Gold also compensates for Topa’s lack of exclusive weapon or star soul debuff when not in use.
2nd Team: Sand Gold, Clara, Topa, Ruan Mei
A team with dual cores and dual guards, Clara’s damage absorption and counterattack mechanism promote Zhizhi’s attack frequency, fully showcasing Sand Gold’s talent effect.
Qualified Panel Values
For “Living Guard” flow, Sand Gold has almost no panel requirements; reaching over 4000 defense is sufficient.
For the output stream, there are higher panel requirements:
Double burst 38/220
Defense 3000+
Speed 130+
